Our solutions

A transport chain controlled from end to end

As broker & freight forwarder, FREIGHTECOM's core business is to choose, organize and coordinate the entire chain of transport actors.

Evaluation & preparation

Qualifying the project, choosing the best connection

Lifting and chocking plan of a working boat, three views with sling angles
Lifting and chocking plan: side, front and top views.
Lifting plan of a catamaran ferry: front and side views, numbered slings, lift under a spreader beam
Lifting plan of a fast ferry: front, side and spreader-beam views.

Our service starts by qualifying the project. To do so, we listen to our client, then discuss with them to find the best solution in answer to the analysis of the identified need. This covers every stage of the transport chain, according to the type of boat to be carried, its origin, its destination, the lead time, the season, the needs of the client's own client and the constraints at destination (customs, permits, documentation, etc.).

For monohulls, a suitable sea-transport cradle is mandatory. Providing it is the shipper's responsibility.

We propose a loading plan fitted to the circumstances, so as to reach an innovative solution adjusted both to the boats carried and to the cargo ships involved.

Beyond FREIGHTECOM's own presence, a Marine Warranty Surveyor is systematically present at loading.

Pre & Post-routing

From its location till the port, and on to final delivery

Yacht strapped on a low-loader trailer, ready for road pre-routing Catamaran moved by truck as an exceptional transport

If, because of its dimensions, you cannot bring your boat yourself, we can organize its pre-routing to the port of departure, either by road as an exceptional transport, or by sea under tow or delivery-skippered.

The same goes for post-routing, from the port of arrival to the final delivery point, within the local constraints at destination.

Port operations

Coordination and control of all port operations

Launch hoisted at night above a cargo ship's deck, over the open hold Hull chocked on its cradle and lashed to a cargo ship's deck, on a bed of dunnage Lashing chains tensioned at night on a cargo ship's deck, along the hull

Depending on the pre-routing solution retained (the yacht reaching the port of departure by road or by sea), handling operations may differ, but FREIGHTECOM coordinates every operation with the selected subcontractors, whatever the case.

We thus control the placement on Mafi or Flat, the chocking and lashing, the lifting or roll-on, and the loading on board the cargo ship, so that in the end we make sure of your boat's integrity.

With the shipowner, and the support of our Marine Warranty Surveyor, we validate the lifting, shoring and chocking plans, and inspect the lifting gear.

Finally, we coordinate the various subcontractors involved as the case may be: divers, welders, shrink-wrapping and fumigation firms, port authorities for access, etc.

If need be, and depending on the incoterm, we do just as much on arrival.
